Treatment Outcome of Early-stage Laryngeal Carcinoma Treated with Radical Radiotherapy Using Different Techniques: A Retrospective Study
نویسندگان
چکیده
Aim: The aim was to evaluate the treatment outcomes and prognostic characteristics of patients with early-stage glottic laryngeal carcinoma who underwent radical radiotherapy (RT) different techniques.Materials Methods: Radiotherapy applied using 2D conventional technique, 3DCRT (three dimensional conformal IMRT (intensity modulated radiation therapy). Clinical T stages were 12 (48%) for T1a, 5 (20%) T1b 8 (32%) T2. Stage anterior commissure involvement analyzed as factors. Results: There T2 cancer. years overall survival diseases free T1b, found be 91%, 80%, 62% respectively. year without 92% 67% Hence, showing poor in lesion or T1 commissure. Conclusion: In carcinomas, RT is a function sparing effective modality excellent rates, regardless techniques.

Image analysis of microvessel surface area predicts radiosensitivity in early-stage laryngeal carcinoma treated with radiotherapy.
PURPOSE The tissue oxygenation level, which is theoretically governed by distance from blood vessels, is one of the most important modulators of the radiosensitivity of carcinoma. A computed image analysis system for the detection of tissue oxygenation was developed to establish a method of predicting radiosensitivity in early-stage laryngeal carcinoma treated by curative radiotherapy. EXPERI...

متن کاملDosimetric comparison of whole breast radiotherapy using field in field and conformal radiotherapy techniques in early stage breast cancer
Background: We aimed to compare field-in-field technique (FIF) with conformal tangential field radiotherapy (CRT) in terms of dosimetric benefits for early stage breast cancer radiotherapy. Materials and Methods: Twenty consecutive left-side breast cancer patients who underwent breast-conserving surgery were included to the study. For each patient, two different treatment plans were cr...
متن کاملOptimal detection of hypothyroidism in early stage laryngeal cancer treated with radiotherapy
BACKGROUND Hypothyroidism following radiation therapy (RT) for treatment of Head and Neck Cancer (HNC) is a common occurrence. Rates of hypothyroidism following RT for Early Stage Laryngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma (ES-LSCC) are among the highest. Although routine screening for hypothyroidism is recommended; its optimal schedule has not yet been established. We aim to determine the prevalence an...
متن کاملThe Study of Vocal Function in Patients With Early Laryngeal Carcinoma After Transoral Laser Microsurgery
Objective Today transoral laser microsurgery is considered as one of the first options to control early laryngeal cancer, and voice disorder is one of the inevitable complications of this therapeutic component. This study aimed to compare the vocal function in patients with early-stage laryngeal cancer following laser surgery with healthy individuals with normal voice quality using acoustic ana...
